// What is "Choice of Repairer"?
"Choice of repairer" is exactly what it sounds like, being able to choose who repairs your vehicle after an accident.
This may be included in your policy or it may be an optional extra. Unfortunately, this isn't available with every Insurer and it's important to check that a policy includes this before committing to an Insurer.
Choice of repairer VS preferred repairer - Know the difference!
When an insurance policy gives you 'choice of repairer', it means you have the choice in who repairs your vehicle after an accident. When an insurance policy gives you a 'preferred repairer' option, it means you only have the option to choose from a repairer who the Insurer has a formal agreement with.

Making an insurance claim can be a daunting task. From ensuring you have the right information, completing the forms correctly and understanding what the process is. At claim time, having an insurance broker to help navigate the path is a great benefit. Remember, an insurance broker works hard to get you the outcomes that your policy entitles you to, such as, a loan vehicle when you are not at fault after an accident.
Insurance brokers are experts in their field. It is the job of an insurance broker to know the details of what is included and excluded in your policy. With a good insurance broker, you can trust that all confusing aspects can be easily deciphered and understood.
